You will build automation-first solutions that drive velocity, observability, and operational excellence across CI/CD, provisioning, and cloud-native infrastructure.What You’ll Do:- Architect and build reusable automation services for provisioning, config, lifecycle, and compliance- Develop internal developer tooling and APIs for self-service workflows- Lead event-driven automation using GitLab CI/CD, Argo Workflows, or Spinnaker- Drive adoption of Infrastructure-as-Code via Terraform, Helm, Pulumi, and GitOps pipelines- Integrate automation with CI/CD, service catalogs, and platform orchestrators- Embed observability, traceability, and telemetry into automation frameworks- Build systems for automated failure detection, triage, and remediation- Define platform-wide automation standards, architecture patterns, and best practices- Collaborate across SRE, DevOps, cloud, and security teams to automate operations- Mentor engineers and guide platform engineering strategy for automation at scaleWhat You’ll Bring:- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field- 7-12 years in software/platform/automation engineering roles- Expertise in building large-scale automation systems and developer tooling- Strong programming/scripting skills in Python, Go, Bash, or equivalent- Experience with CI/CD platforms (GitLab, ArgoCD, Jenkins), job orchestrators, and workflow automation- Deep knowledge of Kubernetes, containers, service orchestration, and IaC (Terraform, Helm, Pulumi)- Familiarity with event-driven automation using AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, or EventBridge- Experience building self-service developer platforms or internal portals- Understanding of platform security, secrets management, and compliance automation- Hands-on experience integrating observability, alerting, and incident workflows- Strong leadership, communication, and technical decision-making across cross-functional teams- Passion for platform simplicity, operational excellence, and empowering engineering teamsMust Have Skills:- Application & Microservice: Java, Spring boot, API & Service Design- Any CI/CD Tools : Gitlab Pipeline/Test Automation/GitHub Actions/ Jenkins /Circle CI- App Platform: Docker & Containers (Kubernetes)- Any Databases : SQL & NOSQL (Cassandra/Oracle/Snowflake/MongoDB)- Any Messaging: Kafka, Rabbit MQ- Any Observability/Monitoring: Splunk/ Grafana/ Open Telemetry /ELK Stack/ Datadog/ New Relic/ Prometheus)- AI/Machine learning: Anomaly detectionNice To Have:- Closed-loop remediation (vendor integration: Akamai, Cequence, FICO)- ML governance (bias, audit, rollback)- Org-wide AIOps vision & roadmap- ROI storytelling (Incident/Change/Problem s prevented, $$ saved)- Vendor strategy, build-vs-buy
