- As a sales professional at Avalara, you will be at the forefront of driving sales revenue by acquiring new logos and maximizing net new sales revenue across the region. The work location for this role is in Hyderabad /Chennai.
- Reporting to the Director of Sales, you will be responsible for the strategy & execution of sales in the assigned region.
- Manage the sales process from start to finish, demonstrating exceptional skills in qualification, needs analysis, product demonstration, negotiation, and closing the deal.
- Identify and qualify leads, prospecting new clients through targeted outreach, networking, and industry events.
- You will use your extensive network to identify sales opportunities through various means, such as referring to your Rolodex, direct prospecting, lead follow-up, networking, and partner relationships.
- Develop expertise on Avalara products and industry best practices to provide actionable recommendations to partners during contract negotiation and product integration.
- Manage accurate sales forecasting with strong pipeline management and perform other tasks necessary to drive sales revenue. Y
- You will use your communication skills to communicate your activities to sales management and other stakeholders.
- Collaboration is vital in this role. As an RSM, you work with leaders in demand generation, sales, marketing operations, and channel marketing to ensure alignment in optimizing demand generation activities and campaigns.
- You will represent Avalara at various industry events, conferences, and associations in the Direct Selling Marketplace to ensure that Avalara maintains its leadership position. You will consistently exceed monthly booking goals through self-motivation, goal setting, and solution-driven approaches to problem-solving.
- You will use superior interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills to host demonstrations and partner webinars, make sales calls, conduct product presentations, and engage in face-to-face meetings and seminars.
- Finally, it is essential to demonstrate high levels of professionalism and leadership by being diligent, thorough, and making a positive impact during every sales engagement. As an Avalara sales professional, you can impact the company's growth and success significantly.
Job Duties :
Consistently meet or exceed individual sales targets by effectively selling to mid and enterprise clients across the assigned region.
- Acquire new clients and logos for Avalara.
- Manage a strong pipeline, demonstrate good business acumen, and thoroughly understand software sales.
- Be results-driven, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
- Familiarity with Avalara's products and success traits is an added advantage.
What you'll need to be successful:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, along with 8+ years of experience in Sales and a strong inclination to learn and unlearn, is required for this position.
- Previous experience with B2B SaaS products is mandatory, and experience in handling mid and enterprise clients selling to other countries is a plus.
- The successful candidate should have a proven ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team with an agile mindset.
- Additionally, they should be capable of quickly building relationships with key partners across the company, such as engineering, sales, marketing, and others.
