Job Description:


We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Build & Release Manager with 15 to 18 years to oversee and manage the build and release processes for our software development products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in build automation, release management, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Build Management: Develop, maintain, and optimize build processes for multiple projects. Ensure that build systems are reliable, scalable, and efficient.
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate software releases. Manage release cycles, including major, minor, and patch releases, ensuring that releases are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
  • CI/CD Implementation: Experience in Implementing and managing continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. Automate build, test, and deployment processes to enhance efficiency and reduce manual effort.
  • Oversee version control systems and branching strategies. Manage code merges, tag releases, and ensure versioning consistency.
  • Maintain thorough documentation for build and release processes, including configuration files, deployment instructions, and process workflows.
  • Monitor build and release pipelines for performance issues, failures, or bottlenecks. Troubleshoot and resolve build and release issues promptly.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve build and release processes. Implement best practices and tools to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the build and release lifecycle.
  • Ensure that build and release processes adhere to security standards and compliance requirements. Implement controls and safeguards to protect code and data.


Qualifications:


Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.


Technical Skills:

  • Experience with build automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Bamboo).
  • Proficiency in version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN).
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell).
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD concepts and best practices. Experience setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines.
  • Proven experience in managing and coordinating software releases. Ability to plan and prioritize tasks effectively.
