Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Business Intelligence (BI) Engineer with strong expertise in Power BI to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining BI solutions that enable data-driven decision-making across the organization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to transform raw data into meaningful insights and visually compelling dashboards.


Key Responsibilities


Dashboard Development:

Design, develop, and optimize interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI.

Create custom visualizations and deliver real-time analytics for various business functions.


Data Modelling and Integration:

Develop and maintain efficient data models in Power BI.

Connect and integrate data from multiple sources such as SQL databases, APIs, cloud services,

and Excel files.


Data Analysis:

Perform in-depth analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights.

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide actionable

recommendations.


Performance Optimization:

Optimize Power BI reports for performance and scalability.

Implement best practices in data visualization and BI development.


Collaboration:

Work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and analysts to ensure seamless data workflows.

Translate complex business requirements into technical BI solutions


Documentation and Training:

Document processes, data models, and reporting workflows.

Provide training and support to end-users for effective utilization of Power BI tools.


Required Skills and Qualifications

Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.


Technical Expertise

Proficient in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and custom visuals.

Strong SQL skills with experience in writing complex queries.

Familiarity with data warehouse concepts and ETL processes.

Knowledge of connecting and integrating data sources (e.g., SQL Server, Azure, Google BigQuery)


Problem-Solving

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret business needs.


Soft Skills

Excellent communication, teamwork, and stakeholder management skills.


Preferred Qualifications

Experience with other BI tools like Tableau, QlikView, or Looker.

Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.

Experience in Python or R for data analysis.

Understanding of Agile or Scrum methodologies.
