Job Summary:

The Head of Analytics and Data Science will be responsible for leading the analytics and data science function within the organization. This role involves driving data strategy, overseeing the development of advanced analytical models and ensuring data-driven decision-making across the company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data science, analytics and financial services, with proven leadership experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:Develop and execute the overall data strategy in alignment with business objectives.Lead the analytics and data science team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.Data Management:Oversee the collection, storage, and management of large datasets.Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all data assets.Advanced Analytics:Develop and implement advanced analytical models to solve complex business problems.Utilize statistical analysis, machine learning, and predictive modeling to generate actionable insights.Business Partnership:Collaborate with business leaders to identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive business growth.Communicate analytical findings to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.Team Development:Build and mentor a high-performing team of data scientists, analysts, and engineers.Promote professional development and stay abreast of the latest industry trends and technologies.Project Management:Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals.Manage budgets and resources effectively to maximize ROI on data initiatives.Regulatory Compliance:Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and industry standards.Implement best practices for data governance and ethical use of data.

Qualifications:Master’s or Ph.D. in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.15+ years of experience in analytics and data science, with at least 8 years in a leadership role.Strong background in financial services and understanding of financial data.Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., R, Python) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.Proven track record of delivering data-driven solutions that drive business impact.
