Overview :

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Oracle PaaS Administrator to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will bring extensive expertise in Oracle Cloud Platform as a Service (PaaS) administration and possess a deep understanding of cloud-based technologies. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance, security, and reliability of our Oracle PaaS environment.

Responsibilities :

1. Oracle PaaS Administration :

Administer, configure, and maintain Oracle PaaS services, including but not limited to Oracle Database Cloud Service, Oracle Integration Cloud, Oracle SOACS and Oracle Identity Cloud Service.

2. Infrastructure Management :

Oversee the setup, configuration, and management of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure components, ensuring seamless integration with Oracle PaaS offerings.

3. Performance Monitoring :

- Implement robust monitoring solutions to track the performance of Oracle PaaS services.


- Proactively identify and address performance bottlenecks, ensuring optimal system efficiency.

4. Security and Compliance :

- Implement and enforce security measures to protect Oracle PaaS environments.


- Stay abreast of security best practices and industry compliance standards, ensuring a secure and compliant infrastructure.

5. Backup and Recovery :

- Develop and maintain comprehensive backup and recovery strategies for Oracle PaaS services.


- Conduct regular testing of backup procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.

6. Patch Management :

- Stay informed about Oracle Cloud updates, patches, and new releases.


- Plan and execute patching activities to keep Oracle PaaS environments up-to-date and secure.

7. Capacity Planning :

- Perform capacity planning to anticipate and accommodate growth in Oracle PaaS usage.


- Scale resources as needed to meet changing business requirements.

8. Incident Response :

- Actively participate in incident response activities.


- Investigate and resolve issues promptly to minimize downtime and impact on business operations.

9. Collaboration :

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, architects, and business stakeholders, to understand and address their requirements for Oracle PaaS services.

10. Documentation :

Maintain comprehensive documentation for configurations, procedures, and best practices related to Oracle PaaS administration.

11. Continuous Improvement :

- Proactively seek opportunities for process optimization and automation within the Oracle PaaS environment.


- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall efficiency.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- 8 to 12 years of overall IT experience.

- Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in Oracle PaaS administration.

- Certification in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and relevant Oracle PaaS certifications is highly desirable.

- Strong knowledge of Oracle Cloud offerings and PaaS services.

- Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell) for automation tasks.

- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
