Roles and Responsibilities :

- Manage and administer Oracle databases on AWS RDS (Relational Database Service) platform.

- Ensure the availability, security, and performance of Oracle databases running on AWS infrastructure.

- Perform regular database maintenance tasks such as backups, restores, and patches.

- Configure and monitor database performance, optimizing queries and indexes as needed.

- Implement and maintain database security measures in accordance with AWS best practices and compliance standards.

- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues, including performance bottlenecks, connectivity problems, and data corruption.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain database solutions that meet business requirements.

- Plan and execute database migrations, upgrades, and expansions as necessary.

- Document database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.

- Stay informed about the latest AWS services, features, and best practices related to Oracle database management.

Mandatory Skills :

- Extensive experience as an Oracle Database Administrator (DBA), preferably in an AWS environment.

- Proficiency in managing Oracle databases on AWS RDS.

- Strong understanding of database performance tuning, backup and recovery strategies, and security practices.

- Hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, RDS, IAM, CloudWatch, and CloudTrail.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex database issues.

- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

- AWS certification (e.g. AWS Certified Database - Specialty) is a plus.
