Job Description Functional Consultant Supply Planning

Role Summary:

The Functional Consultant in Supply Planning is tasked with delivering comprehensive Supply Chain Planning Consulting engagements across various industries and geographies. This role focuses on developing and implementing strategies that enhance customer satisfaction and ensure the successful delivery of supply chain technology projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead teams across multiple projects in different locations, ensuring timely delivery and exceeding customer expectations.
  • Assist clients in selecting, implementing, and adopting supply chain solutions.
  • Provide functional and business process expertise on projects involving consultants, subcontractors, remote global resources, and client employees.
  • Contribute to the creation and execution of account strategies and plans, leveraging team strengths.
  • Manage cross-functional programs/projects involving multiple client stakeholders and vendors.
  • Advise clients on industry best practices and process benchmarks.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to consultants, ensuring high standards, project discipline, and accountability.
  • Create reusable assets to accelerate solution delivery and contribute to building the Supply Chain practice.
  • Serve as a solution architect with expertise in supply chain planning technology and domain.

Educational Qualifications:

  • A strong educational background from reputed engineering and management schools is required.

Required Skills:

  • Experience with 3 to 7 years in the supply chain planning domain, including hands-on technology exposure.
  • Demonstrated experience with at least two implementations using one or more leading supply chain software tools such as JDA Blue Yonder, SAP APO, SAP IBP, Kinaxis, O9, Anaplan, E2Open, Arkieva, Oracle ASCP, OM Partners, or custom-built applications featuring advanced algorithms (AI/ML).
  • Proficient understanding of supply chain planning processes including demand planning, supply planning, S&OP, and inventory optimization.
  • Ability to work with various supply chain technologies; training will be provided as needed.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to handle data-intensive scenarios and analyze large amounts of data; familiarity with R, Python, and SQL is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to manage and deliver to customer expectations under pressure.
  • Meticulous planning skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask.
  • Strong leadership skills, ability to influence, and drive projects in a matrix management environment focusing on collaboration and results orientation.
