We are seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Specialist with a strong background in banking and credit risk management. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in data quality management and will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data across our organization. This role is crucial for maintaining the integrity of data used in critical decision-making processes within the credit risk domain.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement data governance frameworks and policies to ensure the integrity, security, and availability of data.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data analysts, engineers, and business stakeholders, to establish data quality standards and guidelines.

- Oversee the management of data quality issues, including identification, root cause analysis, and resolution of data discrepancies.

- Monitor and enforce data governance policies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, particularly within the credit risk domain.

- Work closely with IT and data management teams to ensure that data is accurately captured, stored, and utilized.

- Conduct regular data quality assessments and audits to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

- Provide training and support to business users and data stewards on data governance and quality best practices.

- Keep up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies in data governance and quality management.

Required Skills and Experience:

- 6 to 9 years of experience in data governance, data quality management, or a related field within the banking sector.

- Strong understanding of credit risk management and its data requirements.

- Hands-on experience with data governance tools and frameworks.

- Proficiency in data quality tools and techniques, with a track record of improving data accuracy and consistency.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex data issues.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

- Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to data governance and credit risk in the banking industry.

- Experience with data management and analytics platforms is a plus.

Educational Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications in data governance or data quality is an added advantage.
