Description
The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical and negotiation skills, as well as a solid understanding of procurement principles and practices. You should be able to effectively manage multiple projects and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve organizational goals.
Responsibilities
Work closely with internal stakeholders to assess procurement needs and develop category strategies
Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities and performance
Negotiate and finalize contracts and agreements with suppliers, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements
Monitor supplier performance and take necessary actions to address any issues or problems
Develop and implement procurement policies and procedures to streamline processes and improve efficiency
Track and analyse key procurement metrics, such as cost savings, supplier performance, and on-time delivery
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to achieve them
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in procurement and category management
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field
Proven experience in procurement and category management
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent negotiation and communication skills
Proficient in using procurement software and tools
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to procurement and category management
