We are looking for a Senior Lighting Designer to join our studio who is creative, passionate, pro-active and an excellent communicator.
Role Overview:
- Collaboration with the team and be part of the creative leadership team.
- Development of lighting concepts, including rendering, sketching and mood imagery
- Creative communication and engagement with the project design team and client
- Proof of concept calculations and modeling (where applicable)
- Production of drawings and support documentation as required (AutoCAD and/or Revit)
- Specification of lighting equipment and lighting control systems
- Onsite construction and commissioning support.
Skills and Experience:
The ideal candidate should have worked in the lighting design profession with an independent lighting design consultancy for a minimum of 5 - 7 years and will have to be able to demonstrate the following:
- Design background and qualification (e.g., Architecture, Interior Design, Landscape Architecture, product/industrial design)
- Project management and time management skills and the ability to work on multiple projects (Essential)
- Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Indesign)
- Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Light modeling/calculation software (Dialux) (essential)
- Proficiency with AutoCAD (essential)
- Knowledge of Revit (preferred)
- Knowledge of lighting equipment and technology (essential)
-Strong sensibility and appreciation for design communication.
