[High Salary] Assistant Payroll Manager

Key Responsibilities:
1. Process bi-weekly, semi-monthly, and monthly payroll cycles accurately and on time using payroll software.2. Calculate wages, deductions, bonuses, and commissions based on approved timesheets, employee records, and company policies.3. Review and verify payroll data for accuracy, including new hires, terminations, changes in salary, and benefits deductions.4. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations and reporting requirements.5. Prepare and submit payroll tax deposits, filings, and other statutory reports in a timely manner.6. Respond promptly to employee inquiries regarding payroll-related matters, including deductions, taxes, and benefits.7. Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies or issues with payroll processing.8. Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure accurate and seamless processing of payroll transactions.9. Stay informed about changes in payroll regulations and best practices, and implement necessary updates to payroll processes and procedures.10. Maintain confidentiality of payroll information and adhere to data protection policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.- 2+ years of experience in payroll processing, preferably in a large organization or payroll service provider.- Proficiency in payroll software and MS Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.- Strong understanding of payroll principles, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.- Exceptional organizational and analytical skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
