Human Resources Officer Position Type School Operations Commence Date 19 Jan 2026 Employment Status Permanent / Ongoing FTE/Hours per week 12 hours (negotiable) Subject(s)/Grade Administration / Grade 4 Role Details The Opportunity We’re on the lookout for an experienced Human Resources Officer to join our team to assist in human resources such as recruitment, employee relations and workplace compliance. The role is 12 hours per week (negotiable) and workdays/time can be flexible. 41 weeks per year. Duties include, but are not limited to: Undertake responsibility for recruitment processes, including job adverts, compliance with the Enterprise Agreement, screening applications, facilitating interviews, notifying applicants and undertaking all associated preparation of recruitment documentation. Oversee the onboarding of new employees, ensuring they are properly inducted and have the necessary resources and information. Maintain accurate employee records and apply knowledge of CESA and school policies and procedures to provide accurate advice to other employees as appropriate to the role requirements, ensuring compliance with employment laws and legislation. Actively participate in CESA human resources initiatives e.g., HR Masterclass, as well as school events/activities, meetings, required training and professional reviews. About You You’ll be a professional, efficient and timely communicator, with excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills. We’re looking for someone with: Highly developed administration skills and a family/community-centric mindset. A Diploma in Human Resources (or equivalent) comprising a minimum of one year of study and/or relevant demonstrated knowledge and experience in a comparable role. Experience in and enthusiasm for dealing with a diverse range of people in a friendly, engaging manner. Excellent time management skills, the ability to manage a varied workload and work to deadlines. Current Working with Children Check Current Certification in Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect in Education and Care Settings (or willing to obtain) Current First Aid Qualification, Education and Care (or willing to obtain) Are you following us on LinkedIn & Facebook?
