Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Legal Consultant in the FMCG industry, based in Bengaluru. The Legal Consultant will be responsible for providing expert legal advice and handling legal issues specific to the FMCG sector. Daily tasks include preparing and reviewing legal documents, offering legal assistance to other departments, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The role also involves researching and interpreting laws relevant to company operations and advising on legal risks and mitigation strategies.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Law, Legal Document Preparation, and handling various Legal Issues
  • Expertise in providing Legal Advice and Legal Assistance
  • Excellent research and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Bachelor's degree in Law or related field; relevant certifications are a plus
  • Experience in the FMCG industry is highly desirable

Should have working knowledge on the following:

· Consumer laws

· Legal Metrology Act

· Food Safety and Standards

· Drugs and Cosmetics Act

· Intellectual property laws

· Property/rent laws

· Laws related to health and wellness services

· Contract laws, Companies Act and other business, commercial, corporate and compliance laws related to manufacturing, trade and business operations.
