Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Reporting and Analysis:
- Lead the preparation and analysis of consolidated financial statements for the Group comprising over 130 entities.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data through meticulous review of journal entries, funding payments, and monthly system interfaces.
- Conduct fixed assets accounting and oversee group-wide intercompany reconciliations.
2. Budgeting and Cost Management:
- Collaborate with budget holders to develop and maintain accrual schedules for global offices.
- Monitor monthly cost center budget variances and provide insightful analysis to support decision-making.
3. Accounts Receivable and Payable Management:
- Supervise monthly debtor and creditor schedules, conducting detailed analysis on top 20 accounts across the Group.
- Calculate management fees for global offices and manage associated funding schedules.
4. Payroll and Incentive Programs:
- Accrue and reconcile share-based payments and other payroll incentive schemes.
5. Regulatory Compliance:
- Prepare detailed VAT reports and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Prepare annual statutory reports under IFRS for 10+ entities, some requiring quarterly filings for FCA compliance.
6. Audit and Governance:
- Compile detailed forex reports for submission to auditors, ensuring alignment with final audit requirements.
- Prepare comprehensive notes to the final consolidated group balance sheet, including fair value reconciliations and investment notes.
- Assist in the preparation of IFRS 16 journals and reconciliation.
7. Treasury Management:
- Oversee treasury-based reports and maintain detailed monthly cashbooks to monitor liquidity.
8. Management Reporting:
- Prepare monthly management packs for specific business lines, providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Generate and update relevant slides for the Monthly Board Report, ensuring alignment with financial performance.
9. Financial Verification and Analysis:
- Verify Group financials along with business line information for interim and annual reporting, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification preferred.
- Completion of Chartered Accountant (CA) certification is mandatory.
- 0-1 years of experience in financial accounting and reporting, preferably in a multinational environment.
- Strong understanding of IFRS and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in financial systems and tools, with advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and levels.
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
