Position Overview : We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller with a background in the hospitality/restaurant industry. The ideal candidate will be a Chartered Accountant with extensive knowledge of financial management, accounting principles, and industry-specific regulations. The Financial Controller will oversee all financial aspects of the organization, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial operations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and forecasts in compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans in collaboration with senior management. Monitor performance against budget and provide variance analysis.
- Cash Flow Management: Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to support operational needs and optimize financial performance.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks. Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial performance and mitigate risks.
- Cost Control: Monitor and analyse costs, expenses, and profitability metrics. Implement cost control measures and efficiency improvements where necessary.
- Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax regulations and oversee tax planning, filing, and reporting processes.
- Audit and Compliance: Coordinate external audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal controls.
- Financial Systems: Evaluate, implement, and maintain financial systems and processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and transparency.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the finance team, providing guidance, training, and support to achieve departmental objectives.
- Stakeholder Communication: Communicate financial results, insights, and recommendations to senior management, investors, and other Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, preferably in the hospitality/restaurant industry.
- Proven track record of financial leadership, strategic planning, and decision-making.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and trends.
- Proficiency in financial software and MS Office suite, particularly Excel.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Leadership abilities with experience in leading and developing a finance team.
