Allied Steel Buildings, Inc. is seeking a skilled IT Support Administrator to join our team. The IT Support Administrator will work to support our team with diagnosing and resolving software and hardware issues and providing essential technical support. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a customer-focused mindset.

Responsibilities:

  • Infrastructure Monitoring and Maintenance:
  • Monitor the organization’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks and systems, to ensure optimal performance and availability
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to keep systems up-to-date and secure.
  • Incident Response and Troubleshooting:
  • Respond to IT incidents and service requests, diagnosing and resolving technical issues in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with the IT team members to escalate and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Systems Administration:
  • Administer and support server environments, including cloud and on-prem.
  • Maintain network devices such as routers, switches and firewalls.
  • Implement and enforce security measures to protect IT assets and data.
  • User Support and Training:
  • Manage employee onboarding and systems training
  • Offer training and guidance to end-users on IT procedures and best practices.
  • Assist in the procurement and setup of IT hardware and software.
  • Documentation and Knowledge Management:
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation for IT systems, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Promote IT security awareness and best practices among employees.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
  • Collaborate with various departments to understand strategic objectives and provide effective solutions.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in IT support or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting software and hardware issues.
  • Strong knowledge of operating systems, including Windows, macOS, and Linux.
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.
  • Working knowledge of Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud infrastructures.
  • Administer and optimize servers in virtualized environments.
  • Understanding of network topologies and protocols.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
  • Relevant IT certifications (CompTIA A+, Net+, Security+, etc)
