Job Description: Accessibility Testing Expert (5+ Years of Experience)
Position: Accessibility Testing Expert
Experience: 5+ Years
Location: Remote
Shift: 8 PM to 5 AM
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accessibility Testing Expert to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of accessibility standards, particularly WCAG and A11Y, and will be responsible for ensuring our digital products are accessible to all users, including those with disabilities. This remote position requires flexibility to work an 8 PM to 5 AM
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive accessibility testing on web and mobile applications to ensure compliance with WCAG and A11Y standards.
Use various accessibility testing tools and techniques to identify and document accessibility issues.
Collaborate with development teams to provide guidance on fixing accessibility issues and ensuring best practices are followed.
Develop and execute accessibility test plans and test cases.
Provide detailed reports and feedback on accessibility issues, including severity, potential impact, and recommended fixes.
Stay current with the latest accessibility standards, guidelines, and best practices.
Support the development and maintenance of accessibility documentation and resources.
Participate in team meetings and provide insights on improving the accessibility of our products.
Assist in training and mentoring team members on accessibility best practices.
Ensure timely completion of all accessibility testing activities within the 8 PM to 5 AM shift
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in accessibility testing, with a strong focus on A11Y.
Expertise in WCAG 2.1 and other relevant accessibility standards and guidelines.
Proficiency with accessibility testing tools such as Axe, JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, and others.
Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and ARIA techniques.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote work environment.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Availability to work the 8 PM to 5 AM (PST time zone)
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in accessibility (e.g., CPACC, WAS, CPWA) is a plus.
Experience with automated accessibility testing tools and CI/CD integration.
Previous experience working in an agile development environment.
