Job Description

A Sr. DevOps Engineer is essential for optimizing our IT infrastructure and ensuring smooth operations across development and production environments. This role focuses on automating processes, improving deployment strategies, and enhancing system reliability.

Responsibilities:24/7 Support Rotation : Participate in on-call support to ensure high availability of systems.Programming

- Develop, test, debug and deploy Java codeCI/CD Pipeline Management : Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions to automate deployment processes.Daily Stand-ups : Lead and contribute to daily team meetings to discuss project updates and roadblocks.Infrastructure Management : Use Terraform to manage infrastructure as code and automate the provisioning of cloud resources on GCP.Cloud

- Proficient in GCP, Apache Google Dataflow/Composer/Airflow and work on generating DAGs.Container Orchestration : Design and implement Kubernetes clusters for application deployment and scaling.Create and Renew Spiffe/Certificates and RFC’s using Service now.Monitoring and Alerts : Implement monitoring solutions using Grafana and Prometheus, and respond to alerts in a timely manner.Release Management : Oversee release management processes, ensuring smooth transitions between development, staging, and production environments.Troubleshooting & Scripting : Diagnose and resolve operational issues, escalating complex problems as necessary., and proficient in Python ScriptingDocumentation:

Create and maintain documentation for infrastructure setups, CI/CD processes, and operational procedures.

QualificationsExperience : Minimum 5+ years in a DevOps or similar role, with a proven track record in high-availability systems.Technical Skills : Strong expertise in Kubernetes, Jenkins, Docker, GCP, and Terraform.Scripting : Proficient in scripting languages (Python, Bash) for automation tasks.Programming

- Proficient in coding using JAVAVersion Control : Experience with Git, GitHub Actions, and Bitbucket for version control and CI/CD integration.Experience in Monitoring tools

like Grafana and Ability to use a wide variety of open-source technologies and toolsMicroservices : Understanding of microservices architecture and its implementation.Agile Methodologies : Experience with Agile practices, including Scrum, for project management and tools like JIRA.Communication : Excellent collaboration and communication skills, capable of working in a remote team environment.
