Job Title: AWS Data Architect (5+ Years Experience) Job Summary: The AWS Data Architect will design, implement, and optimize scalable data architectures on AWS, ensuring robust data pipelines, data storage, and governance to meet business needs. The candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Key Responsibilities: Design and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture using AWS native services (e.g., AWS Glue, Lambda, Kinesis). Develop, optimize, and model data on AWS using services such as Redshift, DynamoDB, RDS, S3, and Athena. Architect and operate large-scale data lakes and warehouses in production environments. Build ETL workflows for data ingestion and transformation. Implement data governance, security, and compliance standards. Provide performance optimization and cost management for cloud data environments. Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to identify requirements and deliver reliable data solutions. Lead client workshops and provide technical recommendations and tradeoffs. Mentor junior engineers on best practices and problem-solving. Document data architectures, pipelines, and standards. Required Skills and Qualifications: Minimum 5 years of experience working on AWS data architecture and cloud-native environments. Hands-on experience with AWS data services (Glue, Redshift, DynamoDB, RDS, S3, Lambda, Athena). Proficient in data modeling, data integration, and ETL pipelines. Knowledge of Big Data architectures and cloud/on-premises hybrid environments. Strong understanding of AWS infrastructure, networking, and security best practices. Experience with automation and Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) is preferred. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to communicate technical solutions effectively. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. AWS certification such as AWS Solutions Architect or AWS Data Analytics Professional preferred. Nice to Have: Experience with additional cloud platforms like Azure or GCP. Familiarity with DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines. Experience in complex industry environments such as finance, healthcare, or telecommunications.
