
Fire Alarm Technician

Installation:Install fire alarm systems in accordance with blueprints, design specifications, and local fire codes.
Mount and wire control panels, sensors, detectors, alarms, and other components.
Ensure proper placement and positioning of devices for optimal coverage.
Inspection and Testing:Regularly inspect and test fire alarm systems to ensure they are functioning correctly.
Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
Document all inspection and testing activities, including any deficiencies found and the actions taken to address them.
Repairs and Upgrades:Identify and repair or replace faulty components and wiring.
Perform system upgrades and modifications to keep systems up to date with current technology and safety standards.
Documentation:Maintain accurate records of all installations, inspections, repairs, and upgrades.
Prepare reports detailing the condition of fire alarm systems and any required actions.
Code Compliance:Stay current with local, state, and national fire safety codes and regulations.
Ensure that all installed systems meet or exceed these codes.
Training and Education:Provide training to building occupants and staff on the proper use of fire alarm systems.
Stay informed about advances in fire alarm technology and best practices through ongoing education and training.
Emergency Response:Respond to fire alarms and emergency calls promptly.
Coordinate with emergency services personnel when necessary.
Customer Service:Maintain professional and courteous interactions with customers and clients.
Address their inquiries and concerns regarding fire alarm systems.
Safety Precautions:Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines when working with electrical components and potentially hazardous situations.
Team Collaboration:Collaborate with other technicians and contractors as needed on larger projects.
Assist in system integration with other security and building management systems.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification or licensure in fire alarm systems installation and maintenance (requirements may vary by location).
- Knowledge of electrical systems and wiring principles.
- Familiarity with fire safety codes and regulations.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Physical fitness and ability to work in various conditions.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including on-call and weekends as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹20, ₹25,000.00 per month
