The Head of Human Resources (HR) is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the HR function within an organization. This role involves developing and implementing HR strategies and policies that align with the organization's goals and objectives. The Head of HR plays a critical role in fostering a positive work environment, managing employee relations, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic HR Planning: Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
- Talent Acquisition and Management: Oversee the recruitment and selection process, including sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and making hiring decisions. Develop strategies for attracting and retaining top talent. Manage performance appraisal systems and employee development programs.
- Employee Relations: Serve as a mediator in employee disputes and conflicts. Implement fair and effective disciplinary procedures when necessary. Foster a positive work environment and promote employee engagement and morale.
- HR Policy Development and Compliance: Develop and enforce HR policies and procedures in compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Stay updated on changes in employment legislation and ensure the organization's policies reflect current best practices.
- Training and Development: Identify training needs within the organization and develop training programs to address them. Provide opportunities for employees to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Compensation and Benefits Administration: Manage compensation and benefits programs, including salary structures, bonuses, and employee benefits packages. Ensure competitive and equitable compensation practices.
- HR Administration: Oversee HR administration tasks, including payroll processing, employee record-keeping, and HRIS management. Ensure data accuracy and confidentiality.
- Strategic Partnerships: Collaborate with senior leadership to align HR strategies with organizational goals. Act as a strategic partner in driving business growth and performance.
Qualifications:
- MBA from a Premium Institute
- 12-20 years of experience in HR management, with a proven track record of success in developing and implementing HR strategies.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to think strategically and solve complex problems.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in HRIS and other HR software systems.
