Role & responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain Windows/Linux servers and associated hardware.
Monitor server performance, resource usage, and availability using appropriate tools.
Perform system updates, patching, and backups regularly.
Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, file and print services.
Administer storage systems and perform data backups/restores using backup tools.
Troubleshoot and resolve server-related incidents and performance issues.
Implement and maintain server security, antivirus, and firewall policies.
Document configurations, procedures, and system changes.
Work closely with application, network, and database teams to ensure seamless system operations.
Ensure compliance with IT policies, audit standards, and data protection regulations.
Preferred candidate profile
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience as a Server/System Administrator.
Strong knowledge of Windows Server and/or Linux administration.
Familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and remote access tools.
Experience in server backup solutions and disaster recovery planning.
Understanding of server hardware and storage systems (SAN/NAS).
Knowledge of basic scripting (PowerShell, Bash) is a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and in a team, including on-call or shift-based work.
