Job Title:

Head of Gold Loan Audit

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced Head of Gold Loan Audit to lead our audit function across our national operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in gold loan NBFCs, with a strong background in audit management and regulatory compliance. This role will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of our gold loan operations through comprehensive audits, risk assessments, and adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement audit strategies and plans for the gold loan portfolio, ensuring thorough coverage of all operational areas.Lead a team of auditors to conduct audits across branches and centralized functions, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.Review and assess the effectiveness of internal controls related to gold loan operations, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.Monitor and analyze audit findings, providing recommendations to senior management for enhancing operational efficiencies and mitigating risks.Stay updated on regulatory changes and industry best practices related to gold loan operations, ensuring timely implementation of compliance measures.Collaborate with other departments, including Risk Management, Operations, and Compliance, to ensure a cohesive approach to risk mitigation and audit management.Prepare comprehensive audit reports and presentations for senior management and regulatory authorities, highlighting findings, recommendations, and corrective actions taken.

Required Skills & Experience:Minimum 12 years of experience in the financial services industry, with at least 7 years in a leadership role specifically in gold loan audits within NBFCs.Proven track record in managing audits at a national or regional level, with in-depth knowledge of gold loan operations and regulatory requirements.Strong understanding of gold valuation techniques, operational risk management, and internal control frameworks.Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop audit professionals.Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.Effective communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
