Make it your story.Your role and responsibilitiesIn this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute significantly to the Quality team is dedicated to implementing a culture and practice of excellence throughout the entire value chain of the organization, to increase customer satisfaction and improve profitability in a sustainable way.The work model for the role is: #Li-OnsiteThis role is contributing to the Smart power Business and the role reports to Manufacturing Quality Manager and is in Nelamangala, Bangalore, India as a Quality Specialist /Test Engineering Supervisor, will support production processes to ensure optimization of cost, quality and on time delivery of products.You will be mainly accountable for:Safety & Quality Management – Assess risks, ensure safety compliance, and maintain conformance with all quality and production standards.Team Leadership & Resource Planning – Act as the first contact for production teams, manage resources, schedules, and training to ensure smooth operations.Technical & Process Support – Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and service teams for validation, technical updates, and quality-related activities.Customer & Continuous Improvement – Support customer issue resolution, participate in factory acceptance tests, and assist in process improvements for operational excellence.Qualifications for the role:BE /B. Tech in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field with 5+ years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment.Demonstrated supervisory experience with effective leadership and team coordination skills.Practical experience in electrical/mechanical testing, troubleshooting, and electronic assembly.Comprehensive knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, and familiarity with IEEE, UL, IEC/EN 62040-3 standards, and SAP systems.Skilled in calibration, test equipment handling, and analysis of parameters like wire continuity, HiPot, CT ratios, and power quality.Proficient in laboratory testing — designing setups, conducting environmental/mechanical/electrical tests, recording data, and preparing detailed reports.Experienced in development testing, including design of special test setups, documentation of procedures, and identification of abnormalities during testing.More about usABB Smart Power provides energy distribution solutions for data centers, industrial and manufacturing plants, critical infrastructure and commercial buildings.
