Job Summary:  We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Odoo Technical Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Odoo, strong programming skills, and a proven track record of designing and implementing complex ERP solutions. This role involves leading development projects, optimizing existing solutions, and mentoring junior developers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Development & Customization:
  • Design, develop, and implement custom Odoo modules and features.
  • Customize existing Odoo modules to meet specific client requirements.
  • Integrate Odoo with third-party systems and APIs.
  • Technical Leadership:
  • Lead and mentor a team of junior developers and provide technical guidance.
  • Review code for quality and adherence to best practices.
  • Manage technical aspects of Odoo projects from inception to delivery.
  • System Architecture:
  • Design and implement robust and scalable Odoo system architectures.
  • Ensure high performance, reliability, and security of Odoo installations.
  • Problem Solving:
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in Odoo deployments.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to clients and internal teams.
  • Documentation:
  • Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
  • Document development processes, code changes, and system configurations.
  • Collaboration:
  • Work closely with project managers, business analysts, and clients to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet their needs.
  • Participate in project planning and provide accurate time estimates for development tasks.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Odoo developments and industry trends.
  • Recommend improvements and new technologies to enhance system performance and functionality.

Requirements:

  • Experience:  Minimum of 6 years of experience with Odoo development, including significant experience with Odoo v15+ or higher.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in Python and JavaScript.
  • Strong knowledge of Odoo ORM, QWeb, and XML-RPC.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL and SQL queries.
  • Familiarity with Odoo’s core modules (e.g., Sales, Purchase, Logistics, CRM, Accounting, Inventory).
  • Development Tools:
  • Experience with Git for version control.
  • Familiarity with deployment and CI/CD practices.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Education:  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Odoo certification.
  • Experience with Odoo.sh or other Odoo cloud hosting solutions.
  • Knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, Bootstrap).
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.
