Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager Accounts and Finance to join our dynamic team at our 3.5-acre educational campus in Bangalore . The ideal candidate will possess strong financial acumen, analytical skills, and a proven track record of success in a senior finance role within a complex educational environment. This individual will be responsible for overseeing various financial functions, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and risk management for both our educational institute and its affiliated companies.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management:
Manage multiple bank accounts for the educational institute and affiliated companies.
Oversee the consolidation of financial accounts for all entities under the umbrella of the mother company, TUV.
Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting for all entities.
Conduct regular audits and reviews of existing financial processes to identify areas for improvement.
Financial Planning and Analysis:
Develop and implement comprehensive financial plans and budgets for the educational institute and affiliated companies.
Conduct detailed financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Prepare accurate financial forecasts and projections.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify areas for improvement.
Risk Management:
Assess and mitigate financial risks, including credit risk, market risk, and operational risk.
Implement effective risk management strategies and controls.
Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities to streamline and improve financial processes.
Develop and implement new processes with the approval of management.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient financial operations.
Compliance:
Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and accounting standards.
Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
MBA or CFA certification preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior finance role within an educational environment or similar organization.
Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and practices, including experience with multiple bank accounts and consolidations.
Proficiency in financial modelling and analysis tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, financial software).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
