Job Summary

The Accounts Executive will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining books of accounts in Tally, preparing GST returns, handling vendor payments, and supporting financial audits. Prior experience in a PEB (Pre-Engineered Building) or structural steel company is preferred to understand project-based accounting, billing, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounting & Bookkeeping

  • Maintain day-to-day accounting transactions in Tally ERP.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, vendor bills, and journal entries.
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing of accounts.

2. GST & Tax Compliance

  • Prepare and file monthly GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B).
  • Perform GST reconciliations and address mismatches.
  • Assist in TDS calculations, returns filing, and tax payments.

3. Billing & Project Accounting

  • Raise client invoices as per work progress / contract milestones.
  • Track project-wise expenses and maintain cost control.
  • Coordinate with project teams for billing inputs and documentation.

4. Bank & Cash Management

  • Reconcile bank statements and cash books regularly.
  • Prepare fund flow statements and daily cash reports.
  • Handle online payments, vendor settlements, and documentation.

5. Audit & Reporting

  • Support internal and statutory audits with relevant data and reports.
  • Maintain accounting records, ledgers, and filing of all financial documents.
  • Generate reports for management on accounts status, payables/receivables, etc.

Required Skills

  • Strong command over Tally ERP 9 / Tally Prime
  • Hands-on experience with GST return filing & compliance
  • Knowledge of project-based accounting (preferably PEB or EPC firms)
  • Proficient in MS Excel, basic knowledge of MS Word & Outlook
  • Good understanding of TDS, Bank Reconciliation, and Invoice Processing
