Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, certified Cost Accountant for our manufacturing set-up specializing in wheelchairs and cushions while utilizing third-party logistics (3PL) and warehouses. The person will be responsible for managing and analyzing costs associated with entire supply-chain including production, inventory and logistics.


Key responsibilities:


1. Cost Analysis and Reporting

• Record manufacturing costs and prepare variance analysis comparing standard cost to actual cost

• Calculate and track the costs of goods sold, including labour, material, and production costs

• Prepare detailed cost reports and analysis to support operations and sales


2. Budgeting and Forecasting

• Assist in budget preparation and implementation of cost accounting systems/processes


3. Inventory Management

• Oversee inventory management including physical stock verification

• Establish product manufacturing costs and valuation of inventory


4. Cost Control

• Manage the overall costs associated with the operations of the manufacturing set-up

• Assist in the implementation of cost control measures and improve efficiency


5. Coordination with 3PL Warehouses:

• Oversee expense reports related to logistics and distribution managed through 3PL partners

• Analyze and manage the costs associated with warehousing and distribution


Required Skills & Qualifications

• CMA Certification with 3-4 years of experience (specifically with respect to Cost Accounting)

• Proficiency in accounting software like Tally, Zoho, etc. and well-acquainted with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

• Computer literacy, MS Excel in particular (familiarity with VLOOKUPs and pivot tables).

• Experience with WMS like Uni-commerce / Zoho

• Experience in conducting Statutory Cost Audits & its reporting u/s 148 of the Companies Act, 2013


Work Profile

• Position: Cost Accountant

• Workdays: Friday – Wednesday (Weekly Off on Thursday)

• Work Hours: 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM

• Location: Gat No. 106/1, Village Sate, Taluka Maval, District Pune – 412 016 (Vadgaon)
