Company Description Sandfits Foundries Private Limited is a pre-eminent iron casting manufacturing company that produces Grey Iron, Ductile Iron, CG Iron, and AD Iron. Sandfits has 3 foundries with a capacity of 60000 tons PA. Sandfits has a dedicated machine shop to deliver precision iron components to customers worldwide. Sandfits Foundries are located in and around Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India and has a certified IATF 16949 and ISO 14001.We are looking forDesign and Development Engineerfor our Foundry Key ResponsibilitesDesign casting components for Furan Sand processes. Deliver First Time Right designs with no tooling or dimensional issues. Validate design with customer requirements and manufacturing feasibility. Complete design tasks on schedule; track and maintain cycle-time adherence. Coordinate with tool room/pattern shop for timely tool and pattern development. Ensure On-Time Tool Delivery from work order to tool receipt. Estimate casting weight accurately; minimize variance at PPAP. Support trials and prove-out for Green Sand & Furan Sand castings. Implement design-based cost reductions and yield improvements. Troubleshoot design issues: shrinkage, gas, erosion, core fitment, mold stability. Apply basic casting simulation (MAGMA/NOVACAST/AutoCAST) for gating/riser validation.Qualifications Gradudate / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 3 to 7 years experience in New Product Development department.
