This role is pivotal in ensuring that engineering intent is preserved while achieving manufacturability, cost targets, and quality standards. The ideal candidate will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage tooling readiness, and drive production ramp-up with precision and speed.Key ResponsibilitiesPrototype to Production Transition Own the launch roadmap frominitial prototype toolingtomass production readiness Validate prototype tools for dimensional accuracy, process capability, and design intent Define and executetooling upgrade plansfor production-grade molds, dies, and fixturesManufacturing Readiness Leadpilot builds ,line trials , andPPAPactivities to ensure process stability Collaborate with design, quality, and manufacturing teams to resolve DFM/DFA issues Ensure alignment ofBOM ,process flow , andwork instructionswith production goalsTooling & Equipment Coordination Oversee procurement, commissioning, and validation of production tooling and equipment Manage vendor timelines for tool fabrication, modification, and handover DriveMoldFlow ,FEM , andDOEstudies to optimize tooling performanceLaunch Governance & Reporting Design of Process Sheets / P-FMEA Develop and maintainlaunch dashboards , KPIs, and risk registers Facilitategate reviews ,control plans , andchange managementprocesses Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO, IATF, RDSO if applicable)Qualifications Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering 8 15 years of experience in product launch, tooling, and production ramp-up Strong knowledge ofprototype tooling ,injection molding ,sheet metal , processes Proficiency inSolidWorks ,MoldFlow ,MS Project , andAPQP tools Experience withPPAP ,FMEA ,control plans , androot cause analysis Familiarity withPLM systems ,ERP integration , andproduction documentation Excellent cross-functional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skillsPreferred Attributes Experience inrailway, automotive, or heavy engineeringsectors Exposure toRDSOspecifications Ability to managemulti-site launchesand vendor development programs Strategic mindset with hands-on execution capability
