Project Role: Business Consultant

Project Role Description:Understand the complete scope of an Online Travel Agency, including multiple products (Flights, Hotels, Cars, Cabs, Buses, Trains, Packages, etc.).Control the functional scope in a “Requirements Traceability Matrix”/Backlog/Plan for tracking the implementation.

Must have skills:

Online Travel Agency, Airlines, Travel Domain Expertise

Good to have skills:

Hospitality

Responsibilities:Lead and drive projects end to end from a business consultant perspective.Excellent knowledge of the above-mentioned domain and architecture as well as current product trends to propose solutions on top of the existing ecosystem of products.Propose strategic solutions for the requirements identified based on the needs of the customer.Drive innovation-related activities.Mentor the Business analysis team.Ability to propose process improvement solutions.Responsible for delivery on time with high-quality standardsPresent the functional knowledge of the product to the customers, development & QA teamsExcellent coordination skills across teamsGather requirements, prepare use cases, and flow diagrams and create specifications documents.Should be able to develop requirement documents, process flows, and user guides.Should be able to review test plans and test casesShould be able to write brush test cases and perform UAT testing if needed.Validation of new features in Agile methodologyProduction incident analysis and providing support to customer.

Requirements:Demonstrate problem-solving and analytical abilities to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts and apply sound business and technical domain knowledgeMust have worked as a Lead Business Analyst in a techno-functional environment.Understanding of the OTA domain and relevant working experience, exposure on Airlines/Hotels/Packages/other travel products, and loyalty solutionsFunctional knowledge and solutioning expertiseHands on experience in preparing requirements documents, use cases, process flows, user manualsShould have SCRUM/Agile methodology exposureShould have good troubleshooting skillsExperience in interacting with Dev and testing teamsExperience in Customer UATIndividual needs to exhibit high level of curiosity to understand the domain and have skills to quickly grasp and understand products or behavior of applications under the ecosystem of related applicationsIndividual should display clarity in thought and excellent communication in presenting his/her productExcellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills are requiredAttitude in looking beyond the task at hand to have a big picture with good user and business perspective on the products worked upon
