About Function/Department Response is the Sales function of the Company and contributes over 90% to the Company’s top-line. The function has 1,100 + colleagues who are engaged in business planning, business development, fulfilment of client orders, and sales capability building. The function uses world class processes, cutting edge technology and analytics to ensure that business growth objectives are met. About the Position Develop robust systems to manage barter inventory strategically for cost savings, employee benefits, trade schemes, or revenue generation, alongside a process to evaluate the market value of client inventory against advertising costs to ensure fair transactions. Additionally, establish a comprehensive framework to address regulatory, tax, and legal implications of barter deals. Areas of Responsibility Policy Creation & Process Standardization: Implement and enforce barter business policies, ensuring all deals meet predefined criteria and are executed transparently. Deal Tracking and Monitoring: Maintain a centralized system to track all active barter deals, ensuring real-time visibility into deal status, deliverables, and timelines. Negotiation and Deal Closure: Collaborate with B&C to negotiate barter deals with clients, ensuring alignment with BCCL’s barter strategy and securing high-quality inventory. Regulatory & Compliance: Work closely with Finance to ensure all barter deals are compliant with tax laws, including GST regulations, income tax implications, and other statutory requirements. Barter Audit: Conduct regular audits of barter transactions to assess efficiency, identify gaps, and ensure adherence to policy guidelines. Educational Qualifications Required Graduate / MBA Relevant Experience 7+ years of experience in managing barter or non-cash revenue operations, preferably within media, entertainment, or FMCG industries. Proven experience in policy creation, process standardization, and compliance management. Strong exposure to deal structuring, negotiation, and closure in coordination with cross-functional teams such as Sales, Finance, and Legal.
