Job Title: Piping Designer – Onshore ServicesLocation: Chennai, IndiaCompany: LamprellDepartment: EngineeringEmployment Type: Full-TimeRole Overview:The Piping Designer will be responsible for preparing piping design deliverables for onshore oil & gas projects. This includes creating plot plans, equipment layouts, piping plans, isometrics, and support details, while ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and engineering best practices.Key Responsibilities:- Develop piping designs including plot plans, equipment layouts, and piping plans under the guidance of senior engineers.- Prepare construction drawings and job packages including isometrics, material take-offs (MTOs), and support details.- Perform interdisciplinary checks to ensure coordination across engineering disciplines.- Review and incorporate vendor drawings and specifications.- Conduct site surveys to support design accuracy and feasibility.- Maintain drawing registers and ensure proper documentation control.- Ensure compliance with Lamprell’s HSES (Health, Safety, Environment, and Security) policies.- Adhere to all applicable information security policies and procedures.Qualifications:- Education: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.- Experience: Minimum 5–8 years in piping design for onshore oil & gas projects.- Proficiency in design software such as Auto CAD, PDMS, AVEVA, or SP3 D.- Familiarity with piping materials, dimensional standards, and fabrication practices.- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
