Mrs Berlia has made an outstanding contribution in ensuring that the Apeejay Stya vision of quality education of global standards leading to man-making and nation-building is effectively reflected in the conceptualization & standardization of the academic programmes and curricula across all its institutions.About the Role:The “Director” will be responsible and accountable for providing leadership to achieve the vision of the institute and organization through strategic insights, meticulous planning and execution of strategic plan, achievement of targets and establishing a sustainable financial model.Job Responsibilities:Institution Building & Administrative:Responsible and accountable for development od 3-5 years perspective plan based on SWOT of the institute and vision in conjunction with ManagementDevelopment of plan/strategy in line with perspective plan and cascade the same to teamsSustain a culture signifying ethos and values of the Institute.Enhance Institute’s visibility through various external and internal initiatives.Responsible for P&L of all the courses / programs in the campus. Financial planning and cost management.Mentor the leadership team i.e. Directors / HODs and ensure that the Institute offers quality of education as per laid policies / processes and fosters a culture of excellence and innovation.Innovate, plan, design and execute Brand building activities at all levels using various platforms in conjunction with Management and relevant internal stakeholders.Manage and evaluate academic and enrollment trends and fluctuations, program offering patterns based on a systematic and futuristic cost / benefit analysis.Lead the Academics development, coordination and supervision of courses and degree offerings assigned to the area as per requirements.Ensure that the directives of the State Government, if any and the provisions of the Act, Statutes, Ordinances and Regulations are strictly observed and that the decisions of the authorities, bodies and committees which are not inconsistent with the Act, Statutes, Ordinances and Regulations are properly implementedEnsure the progress report submission before the Board of Management & Governing Body of the higher institutes.Academic Leadership & Research Programs:Responsible for the development of academic programs of the Institute, faculty development, and supervise up-gradation of curriculum in line with the industry trendsResponsible for Teaching, Learning and Evaluation as per laid down Policies and Practices of the InstituteEncourage & motivate faculty to attend Conferences, seminars, symposiums and workshops as appropriate and also for various National/International Education Programs to enrich and enhance their exposureEnhancement of Academic contribution thru quality enhancement and sustenance efforts.Ensure all academic programs attain or continue to maintain appropriate accreditation standardsTimely monitor the performance of academic and nonacademic staff and give constructive feedback to encourage further improvement and developmentSupervise examination and overall evaluation and assessment parameters in conjunction with Directors / HODs and designated Examination InchargeIntroduce Global Exchange Programs to enrich students’ exposure with respect to global practicesBuild strong connect with Industry Leaders and involve them to enhance curriculum and to enhance industry experience to faculties and students.Responsible for coordinating, providing impetus to Research thru increased publications etc.Sustain and improve Research Orientation by inculcating a culture of Research excellence through constant up-gradation and participation in National and International Research Programs.Create a dynamic and forward looking research environment for both staff and students.Regulatory:Ensure policy and procedures of institute are in compliance with statutory guidelines.Interaction with the Alumni, government agencies and regulatory bodies.Actively participate in all investigations/audits as and when mandated.Responsible for overall administrative governance and liaisoning with various regulatory bodies.Participate actively in all Accreditation processes as guided by the ManagementPeriodical Accreditation (National & International – ACBSP / NBA); Periodical Equivalence (AIU)Prerequisite:Have been on leadership position and managed both Academic and Administrative responsibilitiesShould have good experience of Innovative Teaching PedagogiesRegulatory know-how / awareness of relevant acts and statutory compliances related to Higher EducationWell versed with industry trendsConversant with Academic / Curriculum Designing / Development and NEP.Competencies:Thought leadership, administrative capabilities as well as teaching and research credentials with high level of maturity.Ability to motivate, lead and inspire people for providing a distinctive learning experienceAbility to provide strategic vision and leadership, both academic and administrative.Innovative & must have financial acumenExcellent Interpersonal & Intrapersonal skillsExcellent oral, written and presentation skills.Education Qualification:Should have a Ph.D (preferably in Management) and should be an outstanding scholar who has made significant contributions to the knowledge in his / her concerned / allied / relevant disciplineExperience:Should have a minimum of eight (8) years of experience as a Director / HOD with Institute /University and must be a distinguished academician with extensive knowledge / exposure of education administrative operationsPreferably not more than 60 years of ageCompensation:Not a constraint for the right candidateIf interested, please send in your updated profile along with a cover letter, specifying current ctc, expected ctc and notice period details to
