Junior Data Analyst (1-2 years of experience)

Job Role:

A Junior Data Analyst is responsible for collecting, cleaning, and analyzing data to help the organization make informed decisions. They are expected to handle data-related tasks using tools like SQL, Python, and Excel, and generate basic reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Data Collection and Cleaning:
  • Gather data from multiple sources and clean datasets for analysis.
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy.
  1. Data Analysis and Reporting:
  • Perform basic data analysis to identify trends and insights.
  • Create and maintain dashboards and reports using Excel and Python.
  1. SQL Queries:
  • Write and execute SQL queries to extract data from databases.
  • Perform data validation and transformation using SQL.
  1. Excel Analysis:
  • Use Advanced Excel for data summarization, pivot tables, and formula-based analysis.
  • Create visual reports and charts to present findings.
  1. Collaboration:
  • Work with senior analysts and other departments to understand data requirements.
  • Support ad-hoc data requests and analyses.

Mandatory Skills:

  • Proficiency in Python (data manipulation and basic visualization).
  • Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, IF conditions, charts).
  • Basic to intermediate SQL (joins, aggregate functions, subqueries).

Senior Data Analyst (3-6 years of experience)

Job Role:

A Senior Data Analyst is responsible for leading data-driven projects, performing complex analyses, and providing actionable insights to stakeholders. They mentor junior analysts and drive the development of advanced reporting solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Advanced Data Analysis:
  • Conduct in-depth analyses to solve business problems and recommend solutions.
  • Perform predictive modeling and trend analysis using Python.
  1. SQL and Database Management:
  • Write optimized SQL queries for data extraction and manipulation.
  • Work with large datasets and complex data structures.
  1. Visualization and Reporting:
  • Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using Excel and Python-based libraries.
  • Present insights in a clear and actionable format to stakeholders.
  1. Data Quality and Governance:
  • Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data across all systems.
  • Implement and maintain data quality frameworks.
  1. Mentorship and Leadership:
  • Mentor junior team members and review their work.
  • Drive collaboration between teams and act as a key point of contact for data-related queries.
  1. Stakeholder Collaboration:
  • Work with management to identify opportunities for process improvement and provide data-backed recommendations.
  • Collaborate with technical teams for data architecture improvements.

Mandatory Skills:

  • Advanced Python (data analysis, visualization, and scripting for automation).
  • Advanced Excel (macros, VBA, advanced formula usage).
  • Advanced SQL (stored procedures, optimization, indexing).


Interview Process

1. First Round: SQL Assessment

  • Objective: Test proficiency in SQL.
  • Format: Online assessment.

2. Second Round: Technical Discussion

Evaluate technical skills and practical knowledge.

3. Third Round: HR Face-to-Face Round

Assess cultural fit, communication skills, and discuss compensation.
