Position Overview:

                          The Senior Manager – Product Data Analyst will lead data-driven initiatives, focusing on customer insights, sales trends, and operational efficiency. The role requires managing the data, developing analytical frameworks, and delivering insights that help optimise business performance. This individual should be extremely sharp with numbers and Google Sheets.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the data analysis and reporting team, delivering actionable insights to drive sales growth, customer engagement, and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., marketing, operations, product development) to identify and analyse data trends in customer behaviour, sales performance, and inventory management.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain dashboards and reporting tools that track critical retail KPIs such as sales per square foot, average transaction value (ATV), footfall, and customer retention.
  • Ensure data accuracy, timeliness, and integrity by developing robust data collection and validation processes.
  • Analyse point-of-sale (POS) data to identify key patterns, product preferences, and market trends.
  • Present reports and insights to senior leadership, providing recommendations for improving menu offerings, promotional effectiveness, and store operations.
  • Oversee the integration of data from various platforms (POS systems, CRM, loyalty programs, etc.) to build a comprehensive view of the business.
  • Develop predictive models and trend forecasts to guide inventory management, staffing needs, and marketing strategies.
  • Maintain compliance with data privacy regulations and internal data governance policies.
  • Stay updated on F&B retail industry trends, consumer behaviour insights, and emerging data analytics technologies.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
  • 8+ years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or business intelligence, with a minimum of 3 years in a management role, preferably in the retail sector.
  • Proficiency in data analytics tools such as SQL, Python, R and experience with retail POS systems and CRM data integration.
  • Expertise in data visualisation tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into business insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Experience in managing cross-functional data projects, particularly in retail or consumer-facing environments.
  • Familiarity with sales forecasting, customer segmentation, and inventory optimisation strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Knowledge of data governance and compliance with privacy regulations.
