About The Role
As a Technical Lead, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership to a team of software engineers. You will ensure that the team follows best practices in software development. You will monitor task progress and report progress, issues, and risks to the Delivery Managers and Product Managers. Additionally, you will support the planning of software development activities, including work breakdown, estimation, proposal of technical approaches and solutions.

What You'll Do

  • Lead a team of software engineers, providing technical guidance and support.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of Agile methodologies and ensure their effective implementation.
  • Monitor task progress and report progress, issues, and risks to the Delivery Managers and Product Managers.
  • Support the planning of software development activities, including work breakdown, estimation, proposal of technical approaches and solutions.
  • Ensure that the work of the team is technically correct and meets the defined requirements.
  • Undertake software development activities, including architectural, high-level & detailed designs, implementation of new features, bug fixes, testing of own work and that of the team prior to handover.
  • Support continuous improvement relating to the development process, development environment, and tools used.
  • Stay updated with new technologies and apply them appropriately.
  • Design and maintain robust, scalable, and efficient software architecture following industry best practices and coding standards.
  • Support the Delivery Managers by assessing solution alternatives, considering technical limitations and operational realities, and providing recommendations.

About You

  • 8+ years of overall experience in software development, with at least 2+ years in a technical leadership role.
  • Experience in leading backend engineering teams and delivering complex software projects.
  • Strong hands-on experience in .NET / .NET Core, C#.
  • Experience in architecting and designing scalable, high-performance backend systems.
  • Good understanding of Agile methodologies and practices (Scrum/Kanban).
  • Proficiency in software design principles, coding standards, and code reviews.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
