VELAN IT is a prominent System Integration Company specialising in Electronic Security System Integration. It has successfully delivered projects in this domain for numerous top organisations. We are looking to expand our reach in the manufacturing domain. We are looking for a Sales Account Manager in the Mumbai region, which would involve frequent travel to other cities and regions. Job Description As a Business Development Manager at VELAN IT, you will be crucial in driving our sales efforts and expanding our customer base in the manufacturing domain. You will be responsible for generating qualified leads and initiating the sales process by establishing initial contact with potential customers. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated and ambitious individual with excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and a passion for sales. Key Responsibilities ▪ Lead Generation ➢ Identify and qualify potential leads through proactive outreach via phone calls, emails, and other channels. ➢ Build and maintain relationships with potential leads over time. ➢ Provide prospects with valuable information and resources to nurture their interest. ▪ Prospecting ➢ Research and target new business opportunities within the assigned market segments to build a robust pipeline of potential customers. ▪ Appointment Setting ➢ Schedule appointments and meetings for the sales team with qualified leads. ➢ Ensure all necessary information is communicated to the sales representatives for successful interactions. ▪ Outreach Campaigns ➢ Develop and execute outbound sales campaigns to engage with decisionmakers and influencers. 2 ▪ Qualification ➢ Conduct thorough needs assessments to understand customer pain points and qualify leads for handover to the sales team. ▪ Pipeline Management ➢ Build and manage a robust sales pipeline by identifying and pursuing highpotential opportunities on a continuous basis. ➢ Implement effective lead generation and qualification processes to ensure a steady flow of opportunities for the team. ▪ Sales Forecasting ➢ Develop accurate and insightful sales forecasts, enabling proactive decisionmaking and resource allocation. Implement effective forecasting tools and methodologies to enhance precision in predicting revenue outcomes. ▪ Monthly Revenue Target Achievement ➢ Develop and execute strategies to consistently achieve monthly revenue targets, closely monitoring progress and implementing corrective actions as needed. ➢ Analyse sales performance data to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges, adjusting approaches to maximize revenue generation. ▪ Collaboration ➢ Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to ensure alignment in strategies and messaging. ▪ Documentation ➢ Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions in the CRM system. ▪ Continuous Learning ➢ Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitive landscape to adapt sales strategies accordingly. ▪ Metrics and Reporting ➢ Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular lead generation and conversion rate reports. ▪ Market Analysis and Segmentation ➢ Conduct thorough market analysis and segmentation to identify niche opportunities for revenue growth. ➢ Tailor business development strategies to capitalize on specific market segments and customer needs. 3 Qualifications ➢ Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred. ➢ Proven experience in a similar sales or business development role. ➢ Excellent verbal and written communication skills. ➢ Strong organisational and time-management abilities. ➢ Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. ➢ Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and sales automation tools is a plus.
