Role: SQL Database Administrator

Experience Range: 8 – 12 Years

Location: New Delhi / Gurugram



Must-Have:


  • We are seeking an experienced SQL Server Database Administrator who has a successful track record setting up, maintaining, and supporting multiple SQL Server databases in a high availability, high transaction environment. The role will also include ensuring top performance for these systems and troubleshooting customer issues.
  • Involved in various phases like Design and Architecture, Implementation, Maintenance & Migration of SQL Databases environment for all Enterprise Applications.
  • Installing, Configuring MSSQLServer in Staging and Production environments.
  • Supporting SQL server in Azure environment as IAAS/SQL MI/PaaS services.
  • Managing Azure SQL databases, SQL Managed Instances, Azure VM in Azure Portal.
  • Coordinating with Cloud Operation teams on setting up Azure SQL configurations
  • Monitoring the health and performance of SQL Servers as well as home grown application using SQL server Native tools and several other third-party solutions.
  • Responsible for providing Estimates for New requirements and to work with customers to meet their Database needs.


Good-to-Have:


  • 8+ Years of SQL Server Database Administration.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server, SQL Server Replication, Transact-SQL, and other related tools.
  • Strong proficiency in performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and tuning.
  • Strong knowledge of high availability and disaster recovery concepts for high transaction systems.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, hardware platforms, storage systems, networking concepts, virtualization, etc.
  • Experience with database monitoring tools.
  • Experience with using SQL Server on Azure
  • Familiar with software versioning / source control tools.
  • Familiar with collaboration tools (JIRA, Confluence, Slack, etc).
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, both with team members and product stakeholders.
  • Strong time management skills.
