Job Description :

We are looking for a talented Data Engineer to join our team in Bangalore. This is a hybrid role, combining the flexibility of remote work with the advantages of in-office collaboration. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a strong background in designing, building, and maintaining large-scale data pipelines. You will be responsible for developing efficient and scalable data solutions, working with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the reliability of our data systems.

Key Responsibilities :


1. Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines :


- Use tools such as PySpark, SQL, Hive, and Hadoop to create and manage data pipelines that process and move large volumes of data efficiently.


2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams :


- Work closely with Data Scientists, Analysts, and Business Stakeholders to understand data requirements, and deliver solutions that support data-driven decisions. This includes translating business needs into data structures and workflows.


3. Optimize and troubleshoot data workflows :


- Monitor data pipelines, identify bottlenecks, and optimize processes to ensure high performance and reliability.


- Be proactive in identifying issues and implementing solutions to keep data flowing smoothly.


4. Implement data governance and security best practices :


- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security by implementing governance practices.


- Comply with data privacy regulations and maintain data security at all stages of the data lifecycle.


Qualifications :

Experience :

- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering roles, with a deep understanding of building, scaling, and maintaining data pipelines and infrastructure.

Technical Proficiency :

- PySpark : For distributed data processing and large-scale data analytics.


- SQL: Advanced querying and manipulation of relational databases.


- Hive : For managing and querying large datasets stored in Hadoop.


- Hadoop : Knowledge of the Hadoop ecosystem for distributed data storage and processing.


- Problem-Solving Skills : Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify issues, troubleshoot, and implement effective solutions to improve workflow efficiency.


- Attention to Detail : Precision in managing data integrity, and ensuring accuracy in data pipelines and transformations.


- Communication & Teamwork : Ability to work in a collaborative environment with both technical and non-technical teams. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential to discuss complex data issues with Skills (Nice to Have) :


- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.


- Familiarity with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).


- Understanding of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.


- Experience with DataOps and CI/CD pipelines for automating data workflows.


- Knowledge of real-time data streaming tools like Kafka or Flume.
