Job Description: Embedded Linux Developer Position Summary We are seeking an experiencedEmbedded Linux Developerwith 3–5 years of hands-on experience in embedded systems, Linux kernel, and driver/application development. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in low-level programming, board bring-up, and system integration for embedded platforms.Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain embedded Linux software for custom hardware platforms. Work onLinux kernel, device drivers, and BSP (Board Support Package) customization . Performboard bring-up, bootloader configuration (U-Boot/UEFI) , and system initialization. Develop and optimize applications running on embedded Linux systems (C/C++/Python). Configure and integrateYocto/Buildrootor other Linux build systems. Debug issues at kernel, driver, and application levels using tools such asGDB, strace, perf, JTAG . Collaborate with hardware, QA, and system engineering teams to deliver robust embedded solutions. Ensure code quality through unit tests, code reviews, and documentation. Work onperformance optimization, security hardening, and power management .Required Skills & Qualifications 3–5 yearsof experience in embedded Linux development. Strong proficiency inC, C++ , and optional scripting languages (Python, Bash). Experience withLinux kernel, device driver development, and debugging . Hands-on experience withbootloaders (U-Boot), Yocto/Buildroot , and cross-compilation. Familiarity with hardware interfaces likeI2C, SPI, UART, CAN, PCIe, USB, Ethernet . Strong debugging skills withoscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and JTAG probes . Experience withversion control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development practices .Good to Have (Optional / Preferred Skills) Experience withRTOS alongside Linuxin heterogeneous systems. Knowledge ofnetworking protocols (HTTPs,TCP/IP, MQTT, CANopen, Modbus) . Exposure tosecurity (secure boot, encryption, TPM) . Familiarity withcloud-connected embedded devices (IoT platforms) . Prior experience inautomotive, telecom, or industrial embedded systems .Education Bachelor’s or Master’s degree inElectronics / EnTC / Computer Science
