Client : US MNC

Client is a US company that manufactures electronic test and measurement equipment and software. It brings with it the product lines focused on electronics and radio.

Client's products include hardware and software for benchtop, modular, and field instruments. Instruments include oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, vector network analyzers, atomic force microscopes (AFM), automated optical inspection, automated X-ray inspection (5DX), in-circuit testers, power supplies, tunable lasers, optical power meters, wavelength-meters, electro-optic converters, optical modulation analyzers and handheld tools. In addition, it produces electronic design automation (EDA) software (EEsof division). It mainly serves the telecommunications, aerospace/defense, industrial, computer, and semiconductor industries.

Job Description :

As a DevSecOps Engineer at Nippon Data Systems you will play a critical role in bridging the gap between development, operations, and security. You will be responsible for building and maintaining a secure and efficient software development and deployment pipeline. This is a unique opportunity to shape and improve our DevSecOps practices while working in a collaborative and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Development and Security Integration: Integrate security into the software development process, ensuring that security practices are an integral part of the DevOps pipeline.

2. Code Analysis: Use code scanning and analysis tools to identify vulnerabilities and weaknesses in the codebase. Collaborate with development teams to remediate security issues.

3. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Leverage infrastructure as code tools such as CMake and Ansible to automate the provisioning, configuration, and management of our infrastructure.

4. Version Control Manage and maintain source code repositories using Git, ensuring proper version control and collaboration among development teams.

5. Dependency Management: Utilize Conan and package management to ensure efficient management of project dependencies.

6. Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins for automated testing, building, and deployment.

7. Security Monitoring: Implement and maintain security monitoring tools to detect and respond to security incidents promptly.

8. Linux Expertise: Demonstrate proficiency in Linux administration, including system configuration, security, and troubleshooting.

9. Virtualization: Manage and maintain virtualized environments using Vsphere, ensuring scalability and performance.

10. QT Rebuild: If applicable, assist with rebuilding and packaging Qt libraries for application development.

11. Scripting: Create and maintain shell scripts for automating routine tasks and administrative processes.

12. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with development, operations, and security teams.

Requirements :

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

- 3-5 years of experience in DevSecOps or a related role.

- Strong knowledge of Python and C++ for automation and scripting.

- Familiarity with Jira for issue tracking and project management.

- Excellent knowledge of DevOps and security best practices.

- Experience with vulnerability assessment and remediation.

- Strong understanding of software development and agile methodologies.

- Good problem-solving and communication skills.

- Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified DevOps Engineer) are a plus (ref:hirist.tech)
