Cognos BI Report Developer

Description :- Develop, design, and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations using Cognos Analytics tools.- Collaborate with business users and data teams to understand reporting requirements and translate them into technical solutions.- Apply strong data modeling concepts and best practices in report design to ensure accuracy and performance.- Write complex SQL queries and work with relational databases such as PostgreSQL to extract and manipulate data.- Analyze large and complex data sets, providing actionable insights through well-designed reports.- Support report troubleshooting, performance tuning, and enhancements as needed.- Work with AWS fundamentals to support data integration and cloud-based BI solutions.- Ensure documentation of reporting solutions and adhere to data governance policies.Technical Skills & Experience :- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.- Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in Cognos BI report development.- Proficient in Cognos Analytics suite for report and dashboard creation.- Strong knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts, specifically PostgreSQL.- Familiarity with AWS fundamentals and cloud-based data services.- Excellent data modeling and report design skills.- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.- Ability to translate business requirements into effective BI solutions.Preferred Qualifications :- Certifications in Cognos BI or AWS are a plus.- Experience working in Agile teams.- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
