Title: SAP Finance Consultant Job Description

1. As an SAP Finance Consultant, you will be responsible for implementing, configuring, and maintaining SAP Financial Accounting (FI) modules including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Asset Accounting.

2. Proficiency in configuring FI modules including GL, AP, AR, and Asset Accounting to meet business requirements.

3. Expertise in setting up and configuring bank accounting functionality within SAP, including bank master data management, bank statement processing, and electronic bank reconciliation.

4. Experience in configuring and managing electronic funds transfer processes within SAP, ensuring seamless payment transactions with banks and vendors.

5. Knowledge of configuring DMEE (Data Medium Exchange Engine) trees for generating electronic payment files in various formats such as EDI, XML, and CSV for bank transfers and electronic payments.

6. Ability to design, develop, and maintain interfaces between SAP and external systems using technologies like SAP PI/PO (Process Integration/Process Orchestration) or middleware tools to ensure smooth data exchange.

7. Proficiency in scheduling and managing background jobs within SAP for automated execution of routine tasks such as data uploads, report generation, and system maintenance activities.

8. Hands-on experience in configuring and monitoring IDOC interfaces for integrating SAP with external applications or systems, ensuring data consistency and integrity.

9. Understanding of basic cost accounting principles and their integration with SAP FI modules to support cost allocation, cost center accounting, and profitability analysis.

10. Knowledge of configuring tax codes, tax calculation procedures, and tax jurisdiction codes within SAP FI to ensure accurate tax determination and compliance with local tax regulations.

11. Experience in executing and managing period-end closing activities in SAP FI, including posting accruals, running depreciation runs, and performing balance sheet reconciliations.

12. Understanding of foreign currency valuation processes in SAP FI, including configuring valuation methods, executing currency revaluations, and managing exchange rate differences.

13. Knowledge of end-to-end P2P process in SAP, including purchase requisitioning, purchase order processing, goods receipt, invoice verification, and vendor payment processing.

14. Understanding of end-to-end O2C process in SAP, covering sales order management, delivery processing, billing, revenue recognition, and customer payment processing

15. Exposure to SAP S/4HANA migration projects, including understanding the impact on SAP FI functionalities, data migration strategies, and conversion processes.

16. Providing user training and support for SAP FI end-users, including creating training materials, conducting workshops, and addressing user queries and issues.

17. Proactively identifying opportunities for process improvements and optimization within SAP FI modules, leveraging best practices and emerging technologies.

18. Maintaining comprehensive documentation of SAP FI configurations, customizations, and processes, and sharing knowledge with team members to foster collaboration and knowledge transfer.
