LiveRamp offers complete flexibility to collaborate wherever data lives to support the widest range of data collaboration use cases—within organizations, between brands, and across its premier global network of top-quality partners.Hundreds of global innovators, from iconic consumer brands and tech giants to banks, retailers, and healthcare leaders turn to LiveRamp to build enduring brand and business value by deepening customer engagement and loyalty, activating new partnerships, and maximizing the value of their first-party data while staying on the forefront of rapidly evolving compliance and privacy requirements.You will:- Build and maintain large-scale, distributed backend systems. - Design, manage, and optimize Big Data platforms using Spark, BigTable/SingleStore. - Leverage cloud-based platforms such as GCP DataProc, CloudFunction, AWS DataSync, S3, and Lambda for development and deployment. - Contribute significantly to the design and implementation of architecturally critical components in end-to-end large-scale projects. - Collaborate with multiple teams to gather requirements and create sustainable technical solutions. - Play a hands-on role in delivering team projects involving distributed systems at scale. - Communicate effectively around technical and product concepts. - Continuously ask why and seek better ways to do things.Your team will:As a Senior Backend Engineer (Big Data), this individual will design, build, and optimize large-scale, distributed backend systems and big data ecosystems. The role will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that meet specific and measurable business requirements.About you:- 8+ years of experience writing and deploying high-quality production code. - Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and GoLang. - Experience with Spark, GCP DataProc, CloudFunction, and DataFlow. - Familiarity with AWS DataSync, S3, and Lambda. - Expertise in BigTable & SingleStore. - 4+ years managing and optimizing Big Data ecosystems (Spark, BigTable/SingleStore). - Delivered at least one end-to-end large-scale project as a hands-on engineer. - Demonstrated ability to build technical solutions that meet specific business needs. - Significant contributions to distributed systems projects at scale. - Excellent communicator and problem solver.Preferred Skills:- Experience with TypeScript (Node.js). - Familiarity with DevOps tools (Docker, Terraform, Jenkins, Spinnaker). - Hands-on experience with Google Kubernetes Engine. - Experience with AWS Fargate. - Proficiency selecting and using industry-standard open source/commercial tools or libraries.Benefits:- People: Work with talented, collaborative, and friendly people who love what they do. - Fun: We host in-person and virtual events such as game nights, happy hours, camping trips, and sports leagues. - Work/Life Harmony: Flexible paid time off, paid holidays, options for working from home, and paid parental leave.More about us:LiveRampers are empowered to live our values of committing to shared goals and operational excellence.
