Who we are looking for Business Activity Statement - Responsible for preparation, submission, and compliance of Business Activity Statements (BAS). This role involves overseeing the accurate reporting of GST, PAYG, and other related taxes, ensuring timely lodgment with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO). This role can be performed in a hybrid model, where you can balance work from home and office to match your needs and role requirements. What you will be responsible for As Associate 2 you will Prepare and submit Business Activity Statements (BAS) on a monthly, quarterly, or annual basis, as required. Ensure accurate reporting of GST, PAYG withholding, PAYG instalments, and other taxes. Calculate net GST payable or refundable and ensure proper reporting for business transactions. Ensure all sales and purchases are accurately reported for GST purposes and track GST credits on business-related purchases. Verify PAYG withholding details and ensure all employee tax withholdings are correctly reported. Maintain accurate records of tax liabilities and payments for each reporting period. Communicate with the Australian RTS team to resolve any queries, discrepancies, or audits related to BAS lodgment. Keep track of business transactions, including sales, purchases, and payments, ensuring that these are properly categorized for tax purposes. Reconcile GST-related accounts and ensure accuracy before BAS submission. Prepare internal reports for management on BAS and tax-related matters. Maintain proper documentation and records to support BAS filings and any audit requirements. Identify areas for improvement in the BAS preparation and submission process. Suggest and implement best practices for tax compliance within the organization. Ability to work well in a fast paced, high volume atmosphere. Desire and commitment to learn technical aspects of each deliverable. Ability to communicate with various internal teams to resolve inquiries and understanding when to escalate. Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills. Education & Preferred Qualifications Graduate degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or equivalent experience preferred.
