AVP Finance Controller Summary:We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Controller to oversee all financial aspects of our business and drive the company's financial strategy and planning. The ideal candidate will be responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, risk management, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. This role requires strong analytical skills, leadership abilities, and a deep understanding of financial principles.Key Responsibilities:- Develop and oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis to support business decisions.- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.- Monitor cash flow, accounts receivable, and accounts payable to optimize working capital.- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements.- Conduct financial risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.- Coordinate and liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities for statutory compliance.- Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to senior management to drive profitability and growth.- Supervise and mentor the finance team to enhance productivity and professional development.- Oversee tax planning and compliance to ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations.- Manage relationships with banks, financial institutions, and external stakeholders.Qualifications & Skills:- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.- CA/CPA/CFA or equivalent certification is preferred.- Minimum 15 years of experience in financial management, preferably in ecommerce, retail,- Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS), and compliance requirements.- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.- High attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.- Strategic mindset with a hands-on approach to financial management.Leadership Competencies:- Strategic Thinking: Ability to align financial strategies with overall business goals.- Decision-Making: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to make data-driven decisions.- Change Management: Ability to lead and implement financial transformations and process improvements.- Collaboration: Works effectively across departments and with external stakeholders to drive financial efficiency.- Team Leadership: Inspires, mentors, and develops a high-performing finance team.Functional Competencies:- Financial Analysis & Reporting: Expertise in interpreting financial data and generating insightful reports.- Risk Management: Identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial risks.- Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring adherence to financial laws, tax regulations, and corporate policies.- Budgeting & Forecasting: Ability to create realistic budgets and projections to guide financial planning.- Cost Control & Optimization: Efficient management of company expenditures and resources to maximize profitability.
