Job Title: Senior Accounts Specialist Location:Newtown, Kolkata Experience:5 -9 years Industry:Chemical and MaterialsAbout the Company:Our client company is a leading global manufacturer in the chemical and packaging sector, specializing in sustainable solutions that support industries worldwide.Job Summary:The client company is expanding its rPET (recycled PET) value chain operations in India. To support the accounting and compliance operations of its new rPET trading entity, we are seeking an experiencedSenior Accounts Specialistto join the team in Kolkata. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background inaccounting, invoicing, and compliance , with hands-on experience inSAP ERPandstakeholder management .Key Responsibilities Manageday-to-day accounting and invoicing operationsin SAP. Ensuretimely billing, customer invoicing , and coordination with manufacturing units and customers. Handlevendor payments, bank reconciliations , andmonth-end closingactivities. Prepare and maintainfinancial statementsand supportfinalization of books of accounts . Ensurestatutory compliancewith GST, TDS, and other local regulations. Supportstatutory and tax audits , coordinating with internal teams and external auditors. Assist inMIS reporting, reconciliations , and maintaining documentation for all trading transactions. Coordinate withFinance, Commercial, and Taxteams for compliance and reporting requirements.Qualifications and Skills Required Masters degree inAccounting, Finance, or Commerce/ CA Strong accounting foundation with5-9 yearsof experience inGL, AP, AR, audit, invoicing. Proven ability toindependently manage full-cycle accounting Hands-on experience withSAP ERP(must have) andMS Excel Ability toliaise with cross-functional teams(Finance, Commercial, Tax, and Operations). Excellentanalytical, reconciliation, and reportingskills with attention to accuracy and timelines. Strongcommunication and stakeholder managementskills - both internal and external.
