Description :Role OverviewThe Integration - API Management Platform Support Engineer is a key technical role requiring 4 to 12 years of overall experience, with a minimum of 3 years dedicated to Middleware support, Apigee Hybrid, Configuration, Installation, and Kubernetes.Based in Hinjewadi, Pune, this position is critical for maintaining the stability, performance, and reliability of the enterprise API platform.The incumbent will focus heavily on SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) - Support, Monitoring, and Troubleshooting for the API gateway and its underlying infrastructure.Job Summary :We are seeking an experienced Integration Support Engineer (412 years) with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in Middleware support, specifically with Apigee Hybrid, configuration, and installation on Kubernetes. The ideal candidate will be proficient in SRE practices, including advanced monitoring and troubleshooting of API platforms. Key requirements include strong knowledge of API security protocols, and practical experience with DevOps tools and network platforms to ensure the high availability and smooth operation of the API management layer.Key Responsibilities and Platform Support Deliverables :- API Platform Support & Maintenance: Provide expert Middleware support for the organization's API Management Platform, focusing on Apigee Hybrid.- Installation and Configuration: Execute and manage the Configuration and Installation of Apigee Hybrid instances, ensuring alignment with architectural standards and high availability requirements.- Kubernetes Infrastructure: Manage and troubleshoot the underlying Kubernetes infrastructure supporting the Apigee Hybrid deployment, addressing resource allocation, pod failures, and cluster health.- Site Reliability Engineering (SRE): Apply core SRE practices for Support, Monitoring, and Troubleshooting the API platform, defining SLOs/SLIs, and reducing manual toil through automation.- Monitoring and Observability: Implement and manage advanced monitoring tools to ensure proactive alerting, performance tracking, and deep diagnostic capabilities for API services and the Apigee gateway.- Security Protocol Enforcement: Apply Knowledge on API security protocols (e.g., OAuth 2.0, JWT, mTLS) during configuration and troubleshooting to ensure secure access and data transmission via the API gateway.- DevOps and Networking: Collaborate using DevOps tools and methodologies (CI/CD) for platform updates. Possess working knowledge of network platforms (firewalls, load balancers, DNS) and their interaction with the API gateway and Kubernetes services.- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex, production-critical incidents related to API latency, connectivity, security enforcement, and policy failures within the Apigee environment.Mandatory Skills & Qualifications- Experience: Overall 4 to 12 years of experience.- Core Platform: Minimum 3 years in Middleware support and expertise in Apigee Hybrid.- Containerization/Infra: Minimum 3 years experience in Configuration, Installation and Kubernetes.- Reliability: Strong experience with SRE- Support, Monitoring, Troubleshooting practices.- Security: Knowledge on API security protocols (e.g., OAuth, JWT).- Tools: Familiarity with DevOps & network platforms.Preferred Skills- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) where Apigee Hybrid is deployed.- Proficiency in scripting (Python, Shell) for automation of operational tasks.- Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or similar monitoring tools.- Familiarity with API gateway traffic management policies (rate limiting, quotas, caching).
